Matthew 7:28-8:1

"And do not judge, and you may not be judged;
and do not condemn, and you may not be condemned.
Forgive, and you will be forgiven;
give, and it will be given to you;
a good measure, pressed down, shaken, and running over,
they will put in your lap;
for by what measure you measure
it will be measured back to you."

And he also told them a parable:
"Can the blind guide the blind?
Will not both fall into a ditch?
A student is not above the teacher;
but everyone who has been prepared
will be like his teacher.
Why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye,
but the plank in your own eye you do not consider?
How can you say to your brother:
'Brother, let me take the speck out of your eye,'
while not seeing yourself the plank in your eye?
Hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye,
and then you will see clearly
to take the speck out of your brother's eye."
Luke 6:37-42

"Do not judge, lest you be judged;
for by what condemnation you judge, you will be judged,
and by what measure you measure,
it will be measured to you.
Why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye,
but the plank in your eye you do not consider?
Or how will you say to your brother:
'Let me take the speck out of your eye,'
and look, the plank is in your eye?
Hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye,
and then you will see clearly
to take the speck out of your brother's eye.

"Do not give what is holy to the dogs,
and do not throw your pearls before the pigs,
lest they trample them under their feet
and turning tear you apart."
Matthew 7:1-6

Jesus said, "You see the speck in your brother's eye;
but you do not look at the plank in your own eye.
When you take the plank out of your own eye,
then you will see clearly
to take the speck out of your brother's eye."
Thomas 26

Jesus said, "Do not give what is holy to the dogs,
lest they throw it on the dung-heap.
Do not throw the pearls to the pigs."
Thomas 93

Jesus said, "Whoever seeks will find;
and it will be opened to him."
Thomas 94

Jesus said, "Let one who searches,
not cease searching until one finds;
and when one finds, one will be troubled,
and when one has been troubled, one will marvel,
and one will reign over the All."
Thomas 2

"Ask, and it will be given to you;
search, and you will find;
knock, and it will be opened to you.
For everyone asking receives,
and the one searching finds,
and to the one knocking it will be opened.

"Or what person is there among you,
if his son asks him for bread, would give him a stone?
or if he asks for a fish, would give him a snake?
If, then, you who are bad
know to give good gifts to your children,
how much more will your Father in heaven
give good things to those who ask him.

"Thus everything which you wish
that people should do to you,
you should do so to them also;
for this is the law and the prophets.

"Enter through the narrow gate;
for wide is the gate and broad the road
that leads away into destruction,
and there are many entering through it;
but narrow is the gate and hard the road
that leads away into life,
and there are few finding it.

"Watch out for false prophets,
who come to you in sheep's clothing,
but inside are ravenous wolves.
From their fruit you will recognize them.
Does anyone pick grapes from thorns or figs from thistles?

"Thus every good tree produces beautiful fruit,
but the rotten tree produces bad fruit.
A good tree cannot bear bad fruit,
nor can a rotten tree bear beautiful fruit.
Every tree not producing beautiful fruit
is cut down and thrown into fire.
So from their fruit you will recognize them.

"Not everyone saying to me, 'Lord, Lord,'
will enter into the sovereignty of heaven,
but the one doing the will of my Father in heaven.
Many will say to me on that day: 'Lord, Lord,
did we not prophesy in your name,
and in your name expel demons,
and in your name perform many powerful things?'

"And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you;
depart from me workers of lawlessness.'

"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine
and practices them,
will be like a sensible man,
who built his house on the rock.
And everyone hearing these words of mine
and not practicing them
will be like a foolish man,
who built his house on the sand.
And the rain came down and the rivers came
and the winds blew and pounded against that house,
and it fell, and its fall was great."
Matthew 7:7-27

"And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you;
search, and you will find;
knock, and it will be opened to you.
For everyone asking receives, and whoever searches finds,
and to the one knocking it will be opened.

"What father among you whose son asks for a fish,
would instead of a fish give him a snake?
or if he asks for an egg, would give him a scorpion?
Therefore if you being bad
know how to give good gifts to your children,
how much more will the Father in heaven
give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him."
Luke 11:9-13

Jesus said, "Seek and you will find,
but what you asked me in those days, I did not tell you then.
Now I want to say them, but you are not seeking for them."
Thomas 92

"For there is no beautiful tree producing rotten fruit,
nor again a rotten tree producing beautiful fruit.
For each tree is known by its own fruit;
for they do not pick figs from thorns,
nor do they gather the grape from the bramble bush.

"The good person brings the good
out of the good treasure of the heart,
and the bad brings the bad out of the bad;
for out of the abundance of the heart one's mouth speaks.

"Why do you call me, 'Lord, Lord,'
and not do what I say?
Everyone coming to me and hearing my words
and practicing them,
I will show you what this one is like.
This one is like a person building a house,
who dug and deepened it and laid a foundation on the rock;
and a flood occurring the river crashed against that house,
and it was not able to shake it because it was well built.

"But the one hearing and not doing is like a person
building a house on the ground without a foundation,
which the river crashed against,
and immediately it collapsed,
and the ruin of that house was great."
Luke 6:43-49

Jesus said, "They do not harvest grapes from thorns,
nor do they gather figs from thistles;
for they give no fruit.

"A good man brings good out of his treasure.
An evil man brings bad things out of his bad treasure,
which is in his heart, and says bad things;
for out of the abundance of his heart he brings bad things."
Thomas 45

Jesus said, "Whenever you bring out
what is within yourselves,
what you have will save you.
Whenever you do not have that within yourselves,
what you do not have within you will kill you."
Thomas 70

And it happened when Jesus finished these words,
that the crowds were amazed at his teaching;
for he was teaching them as one having authority,
and not as their scholars.
As he was coming down from the mountain,
large crowds followed him.
Matthew 7:28-8:1
