Matthew 21:1-9
John 12:12-19
Luke 19:29-44
Matthew 21:10-11
Matthew 21:14-17

And it was near the Jewish Passover,
and many went up to Jerusalem
from the country before the Passover,
so that they might purify themselves.
So they were looking for Jesus
and said to each other standing in the temple,
"What do you think?
that he may not come to the feast at all?"

And the high priests and the Pharisees had given commands
that if anyone knew where he was
one should make it known,
so that they might arrest him.

So six days before the Passover Jesus came to Bethany,
where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised from the dead.
John 11:55-12:1

And when they were drawing near to Jerusalem,
to Bethphage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives,
he sends two of his disciples
and says to them, "Go into the village opposite you,
and immediately upon entering it you will find
a colt tied upon which no person has ever sat;
untie it and bring it.
And if anyone says to you, 'Why are you doing this?'
say, 'The Lord has need of it,
and immediately he will send it back here.'"

And they went away and found a colt
tied at a door outside in the street, and they untie it.
And some of the ones standing there said to them,
"What are you doing untying the colt?"

And they said to them just what Jesus said;
and they let them go.
And they bring the colt to Jesus,
and they throw their clothes on it, and he sat upon it.

And many spread their clothes in the road,
and others leaves cut from the fields.
And those leading and following shouted, "Hosanna!
Praised is the one coming in the name of the Lord!
Praised is the coming sovereignty of our father David!
Hosanna in the highest!"

And he went into Jerusalem into the temple;
and looking around at everything, the hour already being late,
he went away to Bethany with the twelve.
Mark 11:1-11

And when they drew near to Jerusalem
and came to Bethphage to the Mount of Olives,
then Jesus sent two disciples saying to them,
"Go into the village opposite you,
and immediately you will find
a donkey tied and a colt with her;
untying them lead them to me.
And if anyone says anything to you,
you will say, 'The Lord has need of them;'
and immediately he will send them."

And this happened so that it might be fulfilled
what was spoken through the prophet saying,

Tell the daughter of Zion:
Look, your king comes to you
gentle and riding on a donkey.

And the disciples going and doing as Jesus directed them
brought the donkey and the colt,
and they laid on them their clothes, and he sat upon them.

And a very large crowd spread their clothes on the road,
and others cut branches from trees
and spread them on the road.
And the crowds leading him and following shouted
saying, "Hosanna to the son of David!
Praised is the one coming in the name of the Lord!
Hosanna in the highest!"
Matthew 21:1-9

On the next day a large crowd coming to the feast,
hearing that Jesus was coming into Jerusalem,
took the branches of palms and went out to meet him,
and they shouted, "Hosanna, praised is the one
coming in the name of the Lord, and the king of Israel!"

And Jesus having found a little donkey sat upon it,
as it is written,

Fear not, daughter of Zion;
look, your king is coming,
sitting upon a donkey's colt.

His disciples did not understand this at first;
however, when Jesus was glorified,
then they remembered that this was written about him
and they did this for him.

So the crowd who was with him
when he called Lazarus out of the tomb
and raised him from the dead was testifying.
For this reason a crowd also met him,
because they heard that he had performed this miracle.

Therefore the Pharisees said among themselves,
"You see that you do not help at all;
look, the world has gone away after him."
John 12:12-19

And it happened as he drew near
to Bethphage and Bethany at the mountain called Olives'
that he sent two of the disciples
saying, "Go into the opposite village,
in which entering you will find a colt tied,
upon which no person has ever sat, and untying it bring it.
And if anyone asks you, 'Why are you untying it?'
you shall say thus, 'Because the Lord has need of it.'"

And going away the ones sent found it just as he told them.
And as they were untying the colt,
the owners of it said to them,
"Why are you untying the colt?"

And they said, "Because the Lord has need of it."
And they led it to Jesus,
and throwing their clothes on the colt
they put Jesus upon it.

And as he was proceeding
they spread out their clothes on the road.
And as he was drawing near already
to the descent from the Mount of Olives
all the many disciples began joyfully to praise God
with loud voices about all the powerful deeds they had seen,
saying, "Praised is the king
who comes in the name of the Lord!
In heaven peace and glory in the highest!"

And some of the Pharisees from the crowd said to him,
"Teacher, reprimand your disciples."

And answering he said, "I tell you,
if these will be quiet, the stones will shout."

And as he drew near, seeing the city he wept over it,
saying, "If you only knew on this day,
even you, the things for peace;
but now they have been hidden from your eyes.
For days will come upon you
and your enemies will put up a palisade to you
and surround you and attack you on all sides,
and they will raze you to the ground and your children in you,
and they will not leave a stone upon a stone in you,
in return for your not knowing the time of your visitation."
Luke 19:29-44

And as he was entering Jerusalem
all the city was stirred saying, "Who is this?"

And the crowds said,
"This is the prophet Jesus from Nazareth of Galilee."
Matthew 21:10-11

And the blind and lame approached him in the temple,
and he healed them.

But when the high priests and the scholars
saw the marvels which he did
and the children shouting in the temple
and saying, "Hosanna to the son of David,"
they were indignant and said to him,
"Do you hear what these are saying?"

And Jesus says to them, "Yes; have you never read,

Out of the mouth of infants and suckling ones
you prepared praise?"

And leaving them behind he went out
outside the city to Bethany, and he spent the night there.
Matthew 21:14-17
