Matthew 11:1

And he calls to him the twelve,
and began to send them out two by two,
and he gave to them authority over the unclean spirits,
and he instructed them to take nothing on the way
except only a staff, no bread, no bag, no copper in the belt,
but wearing sandals, and do not put on two shirts.

And he said to them, "Wherever you enter into a house,
stay there until you go out from there.
And whatever place does not welcome you or listen to you,
going out from there
shake off the dirt under your feet for proof to them."

And going out they preached
that they should change their minds,
and they expelled many demons,
and anointed with oil and healed many sick people.
Mark 6:7-13

Calling together the twelve he gave them power and authority
over all the demons and to heal diseases;
and he sent them out to preach the sovereignty of God
and to cure,
and he said to them, "Take nothing on the way,
no staff nor bag nor bread nor silver nor have two shirts each.
And in whatever house you enter,
stay there and go out from there.
And whoever does not welcome you, going out from that town
shake away the dust from your feet for proof against them."

And going out they went throughout the villages
bringing the good message and healing everywhere.
Luke 9:1-6

And calling to him his twelve disciples
he gave them authority over unclean spirits so as to expel them,
and to heal every disease and every illness.
Matthew 10:1

These twelve Jesus sent out instructing them saying,
"Do not go away into the way of the nations,
and do not enter into a town of the Samaritans;
but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
And going preach saying, 'The sovereignty of heaven is near.'
Heal the ailing, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, expel demons;
freely you received, freely give.

"Do not acquire gold nor silver nor copper in your belts,
nor a bag for the road nor two shirts nor sandals nor a staff;
for the worker is worthy of his food.

"And in whatever town or village you enter,
inquire who in it is worthy;
and stay there until you go out.
And entering into a house greet it;
and if the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it;
but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you.

"And whoever does not welcome you or listen to your words,
going out of the house or outside that town
shake off the dust of your feet.
Amen, I tell you, it will be more bearable
for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah on judgment day
than for that town.

"Look, I send you out as sheep in the middle of wolves;
therefore be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.
And watch out for people;
for they will give you over to councils,
and in their synagogues they will punish you;
and on account of me you will be led before governors
and also kings, for testimony to them and to the nations.

"But when they give you over,
do not worry how or what you should speak;
for what you should speak will be given to you in that hour;
for you are not the ones speaking,
but the Spirit of your Father is the one speaking in you.

"And brother will give over brother into death
and the father the child,
and children will rebel against parents
and will put them to death.
And you will be hated by everyone because of my name;
but the one enduring to the end, this one will be saved.
And when they persecute you in this town, flee to another;
for amen, I tell you, you will not complete the towns of Israel
before the human son comes.

"A disciple is not above the teacher
nor a servant above his lord.
It is enough for the disciples
that one become like one's teacher,
and the servant like one's lord.
If they called the master of the house Beelzebub,
how much more the members of his house.

"So do not be afraid of them;
for nothing has been veiled which will not be unveiled,
and hidden which will not be known.
What I tell you in the dark, say in the light;
and what you hear in your ear, proclaim on the housetops.

"And do not be afraid of the ones killing the body,
not being able to kill the soul;
but rather be afraid of the one
able to ruin both soul and body in hell.

"Are not two sparrows sold for a penny?
and one of them will not fall
upon the earth without your Father.
And even all the hairs of your head are numbered,
So do not be afraid;
you are more valuable than many sparrows.

"Therefore everyone who acknowledges me before people,
I will also acknowledge the same before my Father in heaven;
but whoever denies me before people,
I will also deny the same before my Father in heaven.

"Do not think that I came to bring peace upon the earth;
I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.
For I came to turn a person against his father
and a daughter against her mother
and a bride against her mother-in-law,
and a person's enemies will be the members of one's house.

"Whoever loves father or mother above me is not worthy of me;
and whoever loves son or daughter above me is not worthy of me;
and whoever does not take his cross and follow after me,
is not worthy of me.

"Whoever finds one's life will lose it,
and whoever loses one's life for my sake will find it.
Whoever welcomes you welcomes me,
and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me.

"Whoever welcomes a prophet in the name of a prophet
will receive a prophet's reward,
and whoever welcomes a just person in the name of justice
will receive a just person's reward.

"And whoever gives one of these little ones
a cup of cool water to drink
only in the name of a disciple,
amen, I tell you, will not lose one's reward."
Matthew 10:5-42

"Whoever does not hate his father and mother like me,
cannot be my disciple.
And whoever does not love his father and mother like me,
cannot be my disciple;
for my mother gave me a body,
but the true one gave me life."
Thomas 101

Jesus said, "Whoever does not hate his father and his mother
cannot be my disciple,
and whoever does not hate his brothers and his sisters
and does not take up his cross like me,
will not become worthy of me."
Thomas 55

And it happened when he finished
instructing his twelve disciples,
that he moved on from there to preach in their towns.
Matthew 11:1
